- Cost of flying a Piper Seminole at a much larger school that focuses solely on multi-engine training only. 2-3 day Multi-engine add-on Ratings Earn your multi-engine rating in as little as 2-3 days for only $2,299! This is not the typical “seven hours in the simulator and three flights in the aircraft” multi course. At SkyVenture you get an honest 10 hours of multi-engine flight time at a great price. This course features: 8.5 hours multi-engine dual instruction in the aircraft 1.5 hours for pratical exam aircraft rental Training materials
Just type in multi-engine rating on your favorite search engine and up will pop thousands of results. Just about every school has a twin, but only few actually focus only multi-engine training. What I mean by that is a school might own a twin-engine aircraft, but because it is rarely flown the school chooses to focus most of their energy into primary training (i.e. private pilot training), and multi-engine program suffers. A few schools have realized that there is a need for this type of training and have spent a lot of time developing a syllabus that will help you effectively navigate your way through the training. My best advice for you is to ask a lot of questions, and find out as much as you can about their program (syllabus, how many people they have trained, etc.) before making your final decision.
